DemandRefund

Refund requests, done properly

Get your money back. We find who to ask and write what to say

Name the business or paste the receipt. DemandRefund reads the company's own contact and billing pages for the right address, then writes a polite, specific refund email and a phone script built on your facts.

What went wrong?

Card numbers are stripped before anything is read. Cases stay in this browser.

  1. 1

    Name the business

Or paste the receipt, invoice or billing email. Paste the whole thing; we strip card numbers first.

  2. 2

    We find who to ask

The billing, refund or support address from their own pages, with the page it came from.

  3. 3

    Send it your way

A refund email in the tone you pick, and a script for the phone. You send it from your own email.

Why it works

Most refund emails fail for two reasons: wrong inbox, vague ask.

The right inbox, with the page it came from

We read the business's own contact, help, billing, privacy and terms pages, plus the receipt you pasted. Every address shows where we found it. If we didn't read it, we don't show it.

Knows when someone else holds the money

Bought through the App Store, Google Play, Paddle or Amazon? The brand often can't refund you. We spot it from the receipt and send you to the place that can.

Cites a rule only when one fits

The writer picks from a short list of checked consumer rules (credit card disputes, online subscription law, airline refunds, EU and UK cooling-off periods), each linked to the official source. It can't invent one.

A script for the phone call

Your opener, the exact ask, and a reply for every usual brush-off: the policy line, the credit offer, the retention discount. Plus what to write down before you hang up.

Inbox scan, Pro

Find the refunds you didn't know to ask for.

Connect Gmail and we look through recent receipts for renewals, trials that turned into charges, price rises and double charges. One click starts a case, and the email lands in your Gmail drafts. Nothing is sent for you, and no email content is stored.

Questions

Is DemandRefund free?

Yes, for three cases a day. Each free case includes the contact lookup, the refund email in three tones and the phone script. Pro ($5/mo, billed $30 every 6 months · cancel anytime, or $89 lifetime) adds the Gmail inbox scan, saving emails to your Gmail drafts, the follow-up email, the escalation pack and up to 30 cases a day.

How do you find the billing or support email?

We read the business's own website: the home page, contact, support, help, billing, refund, privacy and terms pages, and the help-centre pages they link to. We also use the addresses in the receipt you pasted. Each address shows the page it came from and whether its domain accepts mail. We never guess an address, so if a business only offers a form or a phone line, that's what you'll see.

Do you send the email for me?

No. You send it from your own email, ideally the address on your account, so the business can match it to you and you keep the thread. We open it ready to go in Gmail, Outlook or your mail app. Pro can also save it straight into your Gmail drafts, where you read it and press Send yourself.

What happens to what I paste?

Card numbers, security codes and passwords are stripped out before anything is read. The rest is used once to write your email and is not saved on our servers. Your cases are saved in this browser only, so clearing your browser data removes them. The contacts we find for a business are public information and are cached for a week so the next person gets them faster.

I was charged by Apple, Google Play or Paddle. Who do I ask?

Usually the platform, not the app. When a store or reseller takes the payment it is the merchant of record and issues refunds itself. If your receipt shows one of them, DemandRefund tells you and links to the right refund page alongside the email.

Is an email better than calling?

An email gives you a written, dated record, which matters if you later dispute the charge with your card issuer. A call is often faster. Doing both works well: call with the script, then send the email to confirm what was agreed, including the reference number you were given.

Is this legal advice?

No. DemandRefund writes clear requests and points to consumer rules that commonly apply, each linked to its official source. Whether a rule applies to you depends on the details, and for large amounts or contracts a lawyer or your local consumer agency can advise you properly.
